This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, creative, thought-leader with commercial leadership experience to join a growing team of professionals with a well-established private company providing solutions globally to the mining industry. This role's core responsibility is market growth for our Client's fine sizing technology in mineral processing and industrial applications through the management and development of sales channels. The Commercial Manager will work with a team to set market targets, sales strategies and manage key accounts and have autonomy to manage their sales channels including direct and indirect agents (e.g., representatives, distributors, OEM).  This position requires travel in assigned markets to cultivate relationships and help generate sales. 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mineral Processing or Metallurgical Engineering preferred. Will also consider Chemical and Mechanical Engineering degrees, especially with experience in Business Administration, Marketing. MBA highly preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in following mining industry areas:
    • Multimillion dollar capital equipment sales; preferably premium products
    • Managing a regional territory, agent/distribution network and/or market sector
  • Previous experience in a technical capacity such as Product Manager or Process Engineer, etc.
  • Demonstrated performance in sales of a value-added premium products
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and act in a professional manner
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity, initiative and personality  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and execute a strategic plans to drive sales growth
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts for manufacturing planning
  • Liaise with existing and potential clients to ensure successful partnerships
  • Travel throughout assigned territory within target markets
  • Evaluate sales channel distribution models and performance
  • Help educate agents on the value addition offered by the company's unique premium products
  • Identify new mutually beneficial agent relationships where required
  • Engage with other stakeholders to support assigned markets
  • Work with a team a to identify targets and best solutions for end users
  • Develop and manage inventory stock strategy as required
  • Work with team to develop and maintain sales budgets and long term strategic plans
  • Support key accounts to provide best solutions to the market
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of sales including long term agreements
  • Manage bid proposals and project deliverables
  • Support and conduct high level sales presentations for end users and internal stakeholders
  • Act and behave in accordance with Corporation Values
